Some tags

I joined a challenge group on Facebook - the challenge is one tag a day.  I can't quite manage the every day thing (for obvious reasons) but I go on daily for inspiration.  Here are some of my first tags.  The first is using a cute image from TiddlyInks and colored with my Zig clean colors.  The other two are my "homework" tags from the Tim Holtz Chemistry 101 course and the flowers are one of his stamps.

Peace Card

Here is a card that was inspired by the sketch on CAS(E) this Sketch! #110.

I really liked the simplicity of the sketch and I immediately knew what I wanted to make.  This is a simple, every day card.  The stamp is a Mary Englebright which is technically for Christmas but I wanted to make it so that it could work for any occasion.  Coloring was done using my Polychromos pencils.  The background stamping uses the gear with the Elegant Suit stamp.  To add some sparkle I used the Sakura gelly roll clear. Getting the sparkle to show in the pictures was a little difficult so please don't mind the shadows.

I would like to enter this card in the CAS(E) this Sketch! #100 challenge.

Easter 2014

Here are the cards that I made for Easter 2014. Most of the coloring was done with my wonderful Polychromos pencils, but I added some sparkle with these cheap glitter pens that I got from our local stationary store.  The pictures make it hard to see the sparkle but in real life it is nice and glittery.

Those are mini Scrabble tiles - love em!

Valentines 2014

Here are the cards that I made for Valentines day 2014.  I used Sharpies (in the picture it looks really "stripy" but in real life they looked fine) or my much loved Polychromos.  I added accents using glitter and Liquid Pearls.

This is the card I made for my husband using a tutorial from The Gentleman Crafter, an absolutely amazing crafter.  I used leather cord for the laces that I had bought at the Kaltenburg medieval festival.  It Torsten a few moments to figure out the inside (hint: turn it to the side).

Brighter days card

This is a card I made using the Paper Smooches stamps and dies.  The owl is from the "Spookalicious" set and the clouds and sentiment are from the "Cosmos" set - they were cut using the associated dies.  I really love the Paper Smooches stamps, and so many have associated dies which make things so much easier.

I wanted to keep things simple - here is the front of the card:

Get Well Cards

Here are a couple of get well cards that I made for some family members.  Unfortunately the pictures turned out really fuzzy and I didn't check at the time.

Here is the front, inside, and a closeup of the image that I colored in with my Polychromos - really fuzzy sorry.  The image was a free clip art image I got off the web but I'm afraid I didn't not where.

Here is the front, inside, and close-up of the second card.  Here is the link to the tutorial for making the pop-up flower.  It was really easy.  I colored it in with my Polychromos pencils.

Frog Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card that I made for a friend who had his 30th birthday.  It was difficult to come up with something that was right for a guy - he seemed to really like it.

Here is the front.  I used some square dies and the Stampin Up "Unfrogettable" stamp set.  Colored everything in with my Polychromos.
